About Dakota...

Hi I'm Dakota Padilla and I am 15 years old thanks for coming to my digital portfolio. On my portfolio I will tell you all the projects and core classes I have throughout all four of my high school years but first I will tell all about myself and my interests.
One thing about me is my family. I have both of my parents, two older brothers, one younger sister, and a niece. My dad's name is Roger and he is 44 years old and he works on the mountains with CDOT (Colorado Department of Transportation). My mom's name is April and she is 38 years old and works in Mancos, New Mexico as a physical therapist assistant,  in the nursing home. My first oldest brother's name is Christopher, but we call him Chris, and he is 20 years old and is moving to Oregon with his girlfriend Danica, Danica's son Forest, and his two month old daughter Ella. My second oldest brother's name is Basilio, but we call him Baze, and he is 18 years old and moved out. My sister's name is Marissa and she is 14 years old and she is just like any normal teenage girl you can think of. Finally the youngest and newest member of the family is my niece Triella. She is two months old and is developing her smiles.
Another thing about me is the amount of houses, towns, and states I have lived in. I was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but my first house was in Pacific Junction, Iowa. Omaha was the closest hospital when my mom went in to labor. We stayed in this house for four years, this was my favorite house and it was my house and today it still stands to be my house even if it doesn't belong to us any more.  After we moved away from Iowa we moved to Trinidad, New Mexico. We stayed in Trinidad for six months and I only have one memory from Trinidad and that's0 getting a present for my mom for mothers day. The present that we got for my mom was a kitten that she named Tucker. When we left Trinidad we went to Raton, New Mexico. We lived in Raton for a year and I have many memories for Raton but the fondest and funniest memory is running to the sound of my brother Baze's voice when he called for help. In the house in Raton there was a laundry chute and just like any other laundry chute if you throw to many clothes in their at once they all get stuck. Well Baze takes his clothes to the laundry chute throws them all down at once and they got stuck so he puts his feet in the chute to shove the clothes down then the rest of his legs go in then his waste and eventual his whole body with the acceptance of his head and arms and hes stuck. This laundry chute wasn't normal it was in a Cabernet so that was part of his problems with getting out of the chute.
After we moved away from Raton we moved to Durango, Colorado and still we live here going on 9 years. We have not been living in the same house all these years we have lived in four houses. The first house we lived in, in Durango, was on the outskirts of Durango on a road called Meadow Rd. on a mountain called Rafter J. This was the house where I saw my first scorpion in real life, and it was while my mom was folding laundry. We lived in another house on Rafter J on a road called Ridge Rd. I have a very funny memory from this house I had this awesome toy it was a ball that split in half and there was a parachute in the ball I would throw the ball into the air and the ball would open up and the parachute would deploy. So I was sitting our drive way playing with this toy throwing it up in the air and watching it come back down slowly. Well there was a tree behind me with a deer behind it. So this deer was peeking around the tree watching the ball go up and come back down slowly with me you could see its head going up and down and the look on his face was so confusing I never saw the deer my back was turned to it but my parents told me about it. After we moved from that house we moved to be the managers of this motel at the bottom of DMR (Durango Mountain Resort) and there was only one cool memory from this house and that was the ability of going right out back for ski run. After we moved from there we moved to the house we are currently living in at Bakers Bridge. This house has the most acres I have ever had and there are so many elk and deer in the back yard and I have my hunting license so I could just walk out back sit out there for a few hours get an elk. So Here I am back in the Present.
Well there isn't a whole lot else left to know about so go ahead and thanks for coming to my digital portfolio and enjoy.
